What color can I choose?
We have a total of 18 LED neon colorsto choose from. 8 of these are white when the sign is turned off and colored when the sign is switched on. The remaining ten colors come with a colored tube, so the sign shows its color even when it’s turned off.
We also offer RGB color changing signs.
What font can I choose?
We have developed our own range of 36 fonts, including cursive, block and double lined fonts.
Will I get a design proof?
Once you hit the Add to Cart button, our custom sign maker will generate a design proof of your sign, with all the details of your custom order, the price and what you’ll receive in the box.
Select YES if you’re happy to proceed, and go straight to checkout. After payment you will recieve an order confirmation email and we will begin manufacturing your sign(s).
Select NO if you still have questions or need help. Please proceed to checkout and go through the payment process. We will then provide further assistance by emailing you a design proof to confirm details and answer any queries.
Please note, if you select NO, your order turn around time begins from your approval of the design. This may add additional time to processing. Please check your junk/spam folders. If we do not hear back from you within 7 days of our email, we will start production.
What if I want a sign that I can't create using your custom tool?
We can do almost any font, shape, style and design – turning your vision into a neon masterpiece! Contact us with your ideas now.
Do you offer a free design service?
We are happy to offer a free design service to our customers, providing one or more designs for your approval, at no extra charge. If you have a change of mind and wish to amend or cancel your order before the sign goes into production we will happily offer a partial or full refund. Once a custom sign order is approved and has gone into production we are no longer able to offer a refund. Please note that a custom sign is automatically approved if “YES” is selected when ordering.
How are KMSIGN light signs made?
Custom Neon indoor signs are handmade to your approved design using LED flex on an acrylic backing. The materials used are PVC and acrylic. Our outdoor signage range is made using high quality LED lights in fully enclosed acrylic, and they have an IP67 Waterproof rating. With both our indoor and outdoor signs, there is no fragile glass that can break, no neon gas, and no mercury.
What is the LED neon flex tube attached to?
Our signs come with an acrylic backboard. You can choose from a variety of options when it comes to this backboard (sometimes the design will determine what backboard is required). The backboard can be cut around the shape so it is contoured and nearly invisible or it can be cut in a desired shape. The backboard color can be clear, glossy black, white, gold, silver mirrored, a custom color, or UV printed with an image.

Are your LED neon lights battery operated or do they plug in?
Most of KMSIGN’s range of signs, lights, lamps, and wall art plug into a power socket. We do offer battery pack options for small signs, lights and lamps. Please contact us to find out if your custom design is suitable for a battery pack.
Most KMSIGN products come with a 4.9ft transparent cord which plugs into a US certified AC adapter. The adapter has an additional 3-6ft of black cable that plugs into the socket. A free remote & dimmer will automatically be added to your order at checkout.
How do I hang / wall mount my neon light?
Hanging your new neon light sign is surprisingly easy. KMSIGN signs weigh 6-11lb on average and include pre-drilled holes on the acrylic backboard. KMSIGN signs are safe to transport and easy to install.
For wall mounting your new neon light you’ll need one of our Wall Mounting kits which must be purchased at the time of ordering your sign as they require a specific hole size. To hang the sign you’ll need one of our Sign Hanging kits or you can also do it yourself with hardware store items:
- Fishing wire (we recommend using heavy duty wire and using a fisherman knot/s)
- Rope (we recommend securely knotting)
- Heavy duty removable hooks (We recommend using several removable hooks to hold up to 6-11lb)
How big can my KMSIGN sign be?
Our LED Neon is available in 8/9/10mm thickness, and the minimum letter height is approximately 3-4 inches for simple/non-cursive fonts and 4-5 inches for cursive fonts.
If your custom order is for a sign larger than 7ft 8in by 3ft 11in it will be made on two or more backboards that can be easily arranged together. Doing this keeps the signs safer during shipping and allows us to deliver the best possible price for you.
Can I get a free-standing LED neon light?
Absolutely, we have several options available:
- LED neon lights, lamps and sculptures in a clear acrylic open box;
- LED neon lights, lamps and sculptures with an acrylic base to allow for stand-up signs.
What are the backboard options?
By default, Custom Neon signs are mounted on a clear, acrylic backboard. We offer two standard backing options at no extra cost.
- For script/cursive fonts – we recommend the cut around / contoured acrylic backing.
- For simple/block fonts – we recommend the rectangle acrylic backing.
We also offer a cut-to-letter acrylic backboard option, as well as acrylic stands and open boxes. The cost for these options is shown on the tool.
Backboard options include clear, glossy black, white, gold, silver mirrored, a custom color, or UV printed with an image. If you would like a backboard that is not listed here please contact us for a quote.
Do I need a remote & dimmer for my LED neon light?
Our remote & dimmer offers a range of brightness settings, ON & OFF option, and Party Modes which makes the light sign flash, flicker and pulse. They also allow you to dim the brightness of your sign, which can help with exposure when taking photos in front of your LED neon sign or when using it as a feature for a photo shoot.
What are the small marks on my sign?
Because KMSIGN light signs are handmade there are sometimes small marks on the acrylic or glue marks where the PVC tube holding flexible LED the has been attached to the acrylic. In the rare instance that the marks are evident they are always minor and not visible when the sign is turned on.
Can I use my new light sign outdoors?
Our standard LED neon signs are indoor signs that can be used at outdoor events, parties, etc… provided it is for short periods in fair weather, and they do not get wet. Please note that our standard signs are not watertight and should not be exposed to wet weather, extreme heat or cold or be placed in locations such where they might get wet.
What if I want a sign that is only partially neon?
You’ve come to the right place, KMSIGN also offers UV printing, so we can help you with a combination of UV printing and lightweight LED neon!
Can you print an image on my sign?
UV printing is an effective way to add a sharp, vibrant coloured image or text on the backboard of a KIMSIGN sign. UV printing is available on any acrylic and can be printed in any colour. If you use a specific colour just provide us with your Pantone code or CMYK breakdown and we can match it! It’s excellent for capturing finer details like gradients or elements of your design that may be too small for LED Neon.
What are your payment and billing T&C's?
Shop Signs and Products – Payment for all signs and products ordered through the KMSIGN online shop is taken at the point of sale. You can choose to pay by PayPal or by using a major credit card.
Bespoke Signs Designed by Us – Payment is required in full before production can begin. Once you have approved a design you will receive an invoice via email which can be paid via Paypal or by using a major credit card. When payment has been made your sign will go into production.
What are the shipping costs?
KMSIGN offers a free Standard Shipping option on all orders regardless of the value. When available, we also offer a Rush Order option. Rush Order costs are based on the delivery address and will be calculated at checkout. If you are working with a Custom Neon designer, please let them know you would like Rush Order, and they will add the cost to your invoice.
- Rest of the world – Free standard shipping worldwide.
Standard orders take 3-5 weeks*, including production and shipping.
‘Rush’ orders take 2-3 weeks*, including production and shipping to addresses in the USA and Canada. Please choose the ‘Rush My Order’ option at checkout, and let us know the date by which you need your sign to arrive.
All of our LED neon light signs are handmade. The above lead-times include both the production and delivery of your sign. Please note that Customs clearance may increase the delivery time for some countries.
Why is the turnaround 3-5 weeks* for a standard order?
KMSIGN signs are handmade so there is production time on each order. 5 weeks is the maximum turnaround time and most customers receive their Custom Neon order within 3 weeks. Please note that Customs clearance may increase the delivery time for some countries.
We now offer Rush orders in the USA and Canada. For Rush orders we aim to produce and deliver your order within 2-3 weeks. If we are unable to deliver your order within 3 weeks we are happy to refund the difference between the Standard and Rush order shipping cost.
Where do you ship signs to?
Our signs can be delivered to physical addresses throughout the 50 States and the District of Columbia with a few exceptions (please see below). We also ship to many other countries around the world.
PO Boxes: Due to the high value and size of our signs we do not ship to PO Boxes.
APO/FPO/DPO: We regret that in most cases we are unable to ship to APO, FPO, or DPO addresses. If you plan to place an order for multiple signs we may be able to arrange shipment to an APO, FPO, or DPO address. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
What if my sign is damaged in transit?
In the unlikely event that your sign has been damaged in transit KMSIGN will ensure that a resolution is provided.
We recommend opening your KMSIGN parcel upon delivery. Damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery of your KMSIGN sign to be eligible for a replacement. Damage or faults reported after this time period will follow our general returns and refunds policy and will not be covered under warranty. Note: the delivery date is the courier delivery date which can be found by following the prompts in your tracking email.
If you believe your item has been damaged in transit and you are within the 7 day claim period please send an email to your LED Neon Designer or [email protected] with all of the following:
- a clear photo of the damage to the sign,
- a clear photo of the box & any damage to the outer box,
- and a clear photo of the shipping label on the box.
What if my sign is lost or stolen?
KMSIGN takes all necessary care to ensure our signs are delivered safely to our customers. We use a premium express shipping service that requires a signature on delivery. The customer may request to opt-out of the signature on delivery directly through the shipping service once the shipment process has begun. Please be aware that if you choose to opt-out of the signature on delivery requirement, KMSIGN will take no responsibility for lost, missing or stolen parcels that have been marked as ‘delivered’ by the shipping service.
What is your returns policy?
KMSIGN offers returns and refunds for faulty products only. KMSIGN will make every effort to resolve the issue and may fix, replace, refund, or partially refund the product. The final resolution for faulty products, including refunds for the cost of the product and/or shipping, is decided on a case by case basis depending on the source of the fault, and is at the sole discretion of KMSIGN.
What is KMSIGN returns procedure?
- Please contact us at [email protected] to let us know which products you wish to return and why, attaching a short video of your sign as well as photos. Please note that we require both a video and photo(s) for diagnostic and quality purposes. If you are not able to provide both a video and photo(s) of the problem then our ability to rectify your issue will be limited. Once we have received all of the required information we will be in touch to try to resolve the issue.
- If a return has been agreed please note that you must return the faulty product in its original condition with all of its original packaging.
- If a return has been agreed the faulty item must be returned for inspection by Custom Neon within 14 days of when you received the product.
- If a replacement has been agreed KMSIGN will endeavour to produce and ship the replacement product to you as soon as possible.
- If a full or partial refund has been agreed KMSIGN will let you know when you can expect to receive the refund.
